Internet access
All participants are welcome to use a guest WiFi network called "RUB-Guests", which works like a typical WiFi in a hotel. First, connect to the "RUB-Guests“ WiFi network (no password required at this stage). Then, a login screen should appear in your web browser. You can find the username („Benutzername“ or "LoginID") and a password ("Passwort") on the back side of your CD24 participant badge.
Internet should be available immediately after the login, but in rare cases it may take up to 90 seconds, before your device gets the access. If an error occurs during the login, it usually helps to disable and then re-enable WiFi on your device. After the WiFi restart, your device should have internet access.
Login status can be checked using the following status page: https://hirn.rub.de/status
Note: If you have an eduroam account, you can use the „eduroam" network in the Convention Centre and anywhere on the campus.
Lunch breaks
During the on-site registration, you will receive lunch vouchers for the entire week. These can be redeemed in the main canteen "Mensa" or in the vegetarian bistro “Rote Bete”. Both Mensa and “Rote Bete” are located in the same building as Convention Centre. The Mensa is one floor above the Convention Centre and “Rote Bete” is two floors above.
